Dear Prospective Volunteer,
Animal Care Centre Lobo would
like to thank you for your interest in volunteering at our shelter. Volunteer positions are currently available
only to those individuals who are 13 years of age or older.
Please take a moment to fill
out the attached application form, plus the Liability Release form and either
mail or deliver them to our shelter at the address above.
The opportunity to volunteer
at our shelter will benefit you and the animals in our care.
Thank you in advance for your

volunteers give. The animals greatly
appreciate the special care as well.
We are accepting only those
who are committed to the work of caring for the animals at the shelter and do
have the right to decline or dismiss any volunteers.

INFORMATION
We walk the dogs rain or
shine, 365 days a year. Duties for
walking dogs consist to walking and cleaning up after them. Other duties consist of cleaning litter pans,
socializing, feeding, and watering.
We are looking for volunteers
who are committed to help out during the hours mutually agreeable to them and
the shelter.
If unable to come, we must
have at least 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will automatically
exclude the volunteer from any future work at the shelter.

As a volunteer for Animal
Care Centre Lobo, all volunteers have the possibility of coming into contact
with animals in the shelter.
Volunteering in the shelter,
and in our foster home program, carries risks including (but not limited to)
bites, scratches, friction burns from leashes, contracting diseases transmitted
by direct contact, possible allergic reactions to animals themselves, and
damage to property as a result of animal behaviour.
Any expenses incurred in the
course of your volunteer activities will not be reimbursed by Animal Care Centre
Lobo.
I acknowledge that I have
been told of the risks and responsibilities associated with my volunteer
position with Animal Care Centre Lobo, as outlined above, and release Animal
Care Centre Lobo, its administration, staff from any responsibility for the
harm that occurs to me, or for any expenses I incur, as a consequence of my
volunteer position.
