Tracie and Emily

The girls in this picture planned a Birthday Party and had all invited guests donate towards the care of animals at our shelter.
They came in with pet treats and toys and an envelope containing $245.00. We really appreciat the gifts and would like to acknowledge them with our thanks here..
The Birthday girl is the girl in the lime green shirt. Her name is Tracie Corcelli who turned 12 on May 19th. Her best friend, Emily Foster, who helped her plan the party is standing beside her.

These girls really love all furry critters and Tracie tells us that someday she hopes to become a vet.

Georgina Megan Ashley

Georgina, Megan and Ashley have been friends since kindergarden, and with the the twins having their birthday on the 28th of March and Georgina on the 29th it was a busy month. Several years ago the girls did a joint birthday party it just made sense and they decided to have a skate party. This years the girls started talking and decided that it would like to do something together again. Georgina skates at the Watford skating club and had joined Megan and Ashley several times over the winter skating season. They remembered the fun that they had had several years ago and it became a skating party.

With the girls getting older and wanting to invite friends from school and family we decided that the girls should ask for donations to a cause instead of having presents. All the girls love animals so I suggested a couple centres and Georgina was familiar with your centre because we had adopted one of our cats from you. She talked to the twins and they were also familiar with you so it was decided. The gemini complex was booked for April 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, a birthday flyer was sent out inviting 25 kids from Adelaide school to a family skate, along with some other friends and family. As you know we got tremendous support in donations recognizing it was a great cause. We had a great turnout to enjoy the skating time, with cake, snacks, drinks, and a couple draws. The girls had a great time and took the donation box home and were very surprised with the final tally of $405.00.

On the picture I sent you from left to right it is Georgina, you and OD, Megan and Ashley. This expereince has inspired their interest in giving back to the community and in volunteering with animals. So thank you for your encouraging words and appreciation to the girls.
